As of 2018, Pi Sigma Alpha is a national political science honor society. It was founded in 1920 at the University of Texas and the Omicron chapter at Ohio State University was established in 1929. As of 2018, membership is by invitation to political science majors who meet grade point average and credit completion requirements, and it is an active student organization at Ohio State University.
