The Browning Dramatic Society was a student organization at Ohio State University that formed in 1887 and dissolved in 1964. When it first organized, the Browning Dramatic Society was called Browning Literary Society, a female-only membership association as opposed to other literary organizations, such as Alcyone and Horton. In 1913, the club changed its name to Browning Dramatic Society. The members would perform mostly Shakespearian plays with an all female cast. Throughout its existence, the society maintained an all-female membership.
