 Biographical Note

Shirley Dunlap Bowser (1935-) was a student at Ohio State University. Bowser graduated with her Bachelor of Science in education in 1956. Bowser was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, Publication Board, May Week, Browning Dramatic Society, Mirrors, Mortar Board, and was the secretary of her Junior Class, chairman of Orientation Week, vice president of University Chimes and president of Alpha Lambda Delta. In 1982, Bowser was appointed to a position on the Ohio State University Board of Trustees.

 Scope and Contents

The Shirley Dunlap Bowser Oral History Compact Disc Recording and Transcript contains a recording on compact disc and a transcript of an oral history with Shirley Dunlap Bowser conducted by Maureen Sharkey on August 8, 2013. In the interview, Bowser discusses her experiences at Ohio State University as an undergraduate student, including the many extracurricular activities, such as membership in a sorority and being elected Junior class secretary. Bowser also discusses her time as a member of the Ohio State University Board of Trustees.
