 Biographical Note

David Hopcraft (1949-) was a student of journalism at Ohio State University from 1963 until his graduation in 1967. Hopcraft was the managing editor of the Lantern in 1966 and, in 1967, was named the assistant editor of the Ohio State Alumni Monthly. He returned to campus to cover the 1970 demonstrations as a reporter for The Cleveland Plain Dealer.

The David Hopcraft Oral History Transcript and Compact Disc Recording contains a compact disc recording and a transcript for an oral history with Hopcraft conducted by Tamar Chute on June 22, 2010. In the oral history, Hopcraft discusses covering the 1970 student riots at Ohio State University as a reporter for The Cleveland Plain Dealer.
