            <abstract id="ref11" label="Abstract">Robert M. Duncan was a student at the Ohio State University. Duncan was appointed to several judgeships, taught at the Moritz College of Law at the Ohio State University, served as the Vice President for Legal Affairs at Ohio State University, and also served on the Board of Trustees. The Robert M. Duncan Oral History Transcript and Compact Disc Recording contains an oral history recording and transcript in which Robert M. Duncan discusses his childhood, collegiate years at the Ohio State University, and the variety of positions he has held as a result of his law degree.</abstract>

            <head>Biographical Note</head>
            <p>Robert M. Duncan (August 24, 1927-November 2, 2012) was a student at the Ohio State University; he graduated from the College of Education in 1948, and from the law school in 1952. Duncan was later appointed to the Franklin County Municipal Court, the U.S. Court of Military Appeals, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. He also taught at the Moritz College of Law at the Ohio State University, and served as the Vice President for Legal Affairs. Duncan also served as the Secretary of the Board of Trustees at the Ohio State University. Throughout all of this, Duncan witnessed the desegregation of Columbus and the Ohio State campus, and many other changes.</p>

            <p>The Robert M. Duncan Oral History Transcript and Compact Disc Recording contains an oral history recording on compact disc and transcript in which Robert M. Duncan is interviewed by Tamar Chute on June 15 and 29, 2010. Topics discussed include Duncan's childhood in a segregated neighborhood, his collegiate years at the Ohio State University, and the variety of positions he has held as a result of his law degree, such as judgeships.</p>
