            <head>Biographical Note</head>
            <p>Frank Pfaff Smith (September 18, 1911 - June 1, 1982) was from Loveland, Ohio, and was a student at the Ohio State University from 1930 through 1932. Previously, he attended the Culver Military Academy, graduating in 1930. At the Ohio State University, Frank (who often went by Pfaff) was a member of the polo team, as well as a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, and wrote about the polo team for The Lantern.</p>

            <p>The Frank Pfaff Smith Scrapbook contains a scrapbook with many clippings about the Ohio State University polo team, the Scarlet Mask Club, as well as a DVD containing digital scans of the pages.</p>
