Biographical Note

James Howard McGregor (July 23, 1872-1954) was a student at Ohio State University who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 1894. In 1895, McGregor was awarded one of the first two fellowships ever offered by the university; he had the title of Fellow and Assistant in Zoology and Entomology.

Scope and Contents

The Osteology & Myology of Cryptobranchus Alleghaniensis Theses by James Howard McGregor is McGregor's undergraduate thesis. This thesis deals with the structure of muscles and bones in the Cryptobranchus Alleghaniensis, also known as the hellbender salamander.
