 Biographical Note

Edward Martin Bloom (born circa 1870) was a student at Ohio State University from 1890 until 1893, when he graduated with his Bachelor of Science. Bloom was a member of the Ohio Zeta Chapter of Phi Delta Theta fraternity, and was an editor of the 1892 Makio. He died of consumption in 1894.

 Scope and Contents

The Quantitative Determination of Lead in Ores Theses by Edward Martin contains a handwritten copy of Edward Martin Bloom's undergraduate thesis, Quantitative Determination of Lead in Ores. This thesis discusses different ways of measuring the amount of lead in rocks, and deals with metallurgical engineering.
