 Biographical Note

Marianne G. Randall-Thompson graduated from the Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music in 1938. While in school, she was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, Scholaris, and Delta Omicron. Marianne was the granddaughter of former Ohio State University president, Dr. William Oxley Thompson.

 Scope and Contents

The Marianne Randall-Thompson Oral History Transcript and Audio Recordings contains two copies of an oral history on audiocassette, and a transcript of the recording. In the oral history conducted by Raimund E. Goerler on 2003 May 6, Marianne discusses her memories of her grandfather, former Ohio State University president Dr. William Oxley Thompson. Marianne also talks about her life as a music major at the Ohio State University during the Great Depression.
