            <head>Biographical Note</head>
            <p>Virginia Blackburn DeBarger (1910-1998) was a student at Ohio State University from 1927 until 1931. In the beginning of her school career, Blackburn was pledged to the sorority Pi Beta Phi. Blackburn was actively involved with drama clubs at Ohio State, such as the Scarlet Mask, of which she became the secretary and treasurer. Blackburn left Ohio State University during her senior year in 1931.</p>

            <p>This collection contains a scrapbook created by Virginia Blackburn DeBarger, which contains photographs, newspaper clippings, programs, correspondence, and tickets. The scrapbook also contains materials concerning student theater, including Scarlet Mask.</p>
