 Biographical Note

Dr. Carl Asseff received his bachelors, medical, law, and masters in business degrees from The Ohio State University. He also served in the Ohio National Guard, and in the United States Navy. In 2016, the Dr. Carl F. Asseff Professorship in Anthropology and History of Medicine was endowed in his honor at The Ohio State University. As of 2021, Asseff has practiced ophthalmology in the Cleveland, Ohio area for more than 20 years.

The Carl F. Asseff Oral History Transcript and Compact Disc Recording, dated January 5, 2017, contains a transcript and audio recording on compact disc of an oral history interview of Dr. Carl F. Asseff.
