 Biographical Note

J. Kevin Fitzsimons served at the University Photographer at The Ohio State University for 35 years until his retirement in 2018, documenting the events and life on campus throughout the years.

 Scope and Contents

The J. Kevin Fitzsimons Oral History, dated April 25, 2019, contains a transcript and audio recording on compact disc of an oral history interview of J. Kevin Fitzsimons by Assistant University Archivist Kevlin Haire. In it, Fitzsimons discusses his career as University photographer, such as working with various departments on events, covering football, working with various University presidents, using film for photographs versus digital photography, and major events that stick out in his memory.
