 Biographical Note

Carl E. Steeb (1875-1958) was the secretary of the Board of Trustees at Ohio State University from 1904 to 1958. Steeb graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in Bachelor in Philosophy. He began his career at Ohio State University as an accountant in 1899. In 1913, he began his service as Business Manager of the University, in which he served until 1945.

 Scope and Contents

The Carl E. Steeb Papers contain resolutions from the Ohio State University Board of Trustees and the Ohio Union Board of Overseers, a distinguished service award, and a plaque. It also contains newspaper articles and correspondence concerning the retirement of Steeb.
