            <head>Biographical Note</head>
            <p>Dr. Patricia F.R. Cunningham II (1979-2017) was the Director of Social Change at Student Life at Ohio State University, beginning in this role in 2013. She received her bachelors, master’s, and Ph.D. at Ohio State University. Dr. Cunningham’s career at Ohio State University began in 2011, where she served as the Director of Civic Engagement and Student Engagement until 2013. Dr. Cunningham received the award of 20 Most Outstanding Women in Ohio and the Outreach and Engagement Staff Award.</p>

Cunningham discusses her childhood, her education at OSU and how both shaped her role as the director of Buckeye Civic Engagement Connections in the Office of Student Life. She discusses her activist role in general, particularly her focus on community engagement, including a project she started to aid in K-12 education in Appalachia, and the Buckeye Reach program, which targets disadvantaged youth in Columbus neighborhoods, as well as youth incarcerated in juvenile correction facilities.</abstract>
