 Biographical Note

Marquetta Peavy (born January 27, 1950) held many positions at the Ohio State University Medical Center, including Director of Clerical Services, nurse recruiter, and ombudsman. She spent the last 15 years of her career at Ohio State as Associate Director of the Department of Educational Development and Resources at the medical center. Peavy received the Distinguished Staff Award from the university in 1994. After her retirement, she began to teach leadership training courses at the Medical Center.

 Scope and Contents

The Marquetta Peavy Oral History Transcript and Compact Disc Audio Recording contains an oral history audio recording on compact disc and transcript of the oral history, conducted on July 11, 2013, by Gay Hadley. In this interview, Peavy discusses her career at the Ohio State University Medical Center, where she held many positions over the course of her career, and race and gender relations in her professional career.
