 Biographical Note

William "Bill" J. Shkurti (born September 28, 1946-) was the vice president for business and finance at the Ohio State University. Shkurti graduated from the Ohio State University in 1968 with a BA in economics; he then served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He returned to the Ohio State University in 1972, earning his Masters degree in Public Administration; subsequently, he worked as the state of Ohio's budget director from 1985-1987. Shkurti joined Ohio State University in 1988 as the Chief Financial Officer. He retired from his duties in 2010; as of 2018, he had written multiple books on the Ohio State University's history, and still worked as an adjunct professor in the John Glenn School of Public Affairs.

 Scope and Contents

The William Shkurti Oral History Transcripts and Compact Disc Recordings contain an oral history interview transcript and compact disc recording of William Shkurti by Raimund Goerler on August 29, 2011. In the interview, Shkurti discusses his extensive career at the Ohio State University, including challenges faced during this time. A second oral history interview transcript and compact disc recording are contained of Shkurti by Kevlin Haire on December 14, 2018. In the interview, Shkurti disccuses his time as a student on campus during the 1960s.
