J. Edward Weaver (1910-2001) was the Director of Athletics at Ohio State University from 1970 to 1977. Prior to his promotion to Director of Athletics, Weaver was the Associate Director of Athletics at Ohio State University from 1957-1970. Under his service as Director of Athletics, Weaver established the Ohio State University Hall of Fame. Weaver played both varsity football and basketball as a student at Ohio State University and was the president of Phi Delta Theta from 1931 to 1932.
