Biographical Note

Franklin Monroe Ludden (1916-2002) was a professor in the Department of the History of Art at Ohio State University.

Scope and Contents

The Franklin Monroe Ludden Papers contain correspondence and other materials related to Ludden's involvement in an exhibit of 18th century architectural drawings in 1965; Humanities Conferences of 1960, 1961 and 1966; Columbus Gallery Show in 1973; and an Oita exhibition in 1971; the original and duplicate audio cassettes of an oral history interview with Franklin Ludden and a transcript of the recording; correspondence relating to the art history department, U.S. Army European Theater Intelligence transcripts detailing the end of WWII and the last days of Hitler, deposition and lawsuit files against Ludden, and files documenting the Professor Anthony Melnikas affair; and materials pertaining to the Charloette Project, syllabi, Kablack seminar program, medieval history notes, and exhibit files.
