            <head>[Biographical/Historical] Note</head>
            <p>Bernadette M. Melnyk is Dean of the College of Nursing, Vice President for Health Promotion and Chief Wellness Officer at The Ohio State University. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of West Virginia, her master's and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certification from the University of Pittsburgh, and her Ph.D. from the University of Rochester. Melnyk held teaching positions at the Shadyside Hospital School of Nursing in Pittsburgh, at Keauka College in upstate New York and at the University of Rochester. She served as Associate Dean for Research at the School of Nursing at Rochester, then as Dean of the College of Nursing at Arizona State University. She has worked at Ohio State since 2010.</p>
