 Biographical Note

Charlene Gilbert was the Dean and Director of the Ohio State University at Lima from 2014 to 2017; she also was a full, tenured professor in the Ohio State University's Department of Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at the same time. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from Yale University in 1987, and her Master of Fine Arts in Film and Media Arts from Temple University in 1997. Gilbert has held professorial and administrative positions at the University of Toledo, the Ohio State University, the State University of New York at Buffalo, and American University. As of 2021, she is a Dean in the College of Arts and Letters at the University of Toledo, as well as a full professor in the Department of Theatre and Film.
