Debra Moddelmog was a professor in the Department of English at Ohio State University.
The Debra Moddelmog Oral History Transcript and Compact Disc Recording contains a recording on compact disc and transcript of an oral history interview with Debra Moddelmog. In the interview, Moddelmog discusses her career in academia and her trajectory to becoming an english professor at Ohio State University. She also discusses issues of gender equality in the english department and the effect of her lesbianism on her career and teaching. She discusses her involvement in initiatives to promote diversity and equality at OSU, particularly in developing and leading OSU's Diversity and Identity Studies Collective. Moddelmog also talks about the people who influenced her, as well as the people she's influenced, particularly students dealing with sexual identity issues.
