As of 2018, Christine Ballengee Morris is a professor in the Department of Arts and Administration Education and Policy at Ohio State University. She was the founding director of The Multicultural Center at Ohio State University.
The Christine Ballengee Morris Records contain a transcript and audio recordings of an oral history interview with Christine Ballengee Morris conducted by Nic Flores on February 18, 2014. Christine Ballengee Morris describes her family background, growing up as an American Indian in Appalachia, and her educational background. She then discusses experiences of racism while she lived in North Carolina, navigating through various gender roles while she was younger, and how these experiences affected her career as a faculty member in Arts Administration Education and Policy at Ohio State University. She also discusses her role as the first Multicultural Center director, her involvement in the Newark Earthworks and other Earthworks around the world, and her association with the Mended Hearts program at Ohio State Medical Center. The collection also contains three digital photographs, dated 2007, of Ballengee Morris speaking, posing in the O-H-I-O formation, and posed with a large unidentified group.
