Firman "Bo" Hewitt Brown Jr. (1926-) was a chairman and professor in the Department of Theatre at Ohio State University.

 Scope and Contents

The Firman H. Brown Oral History Transcript and Audiocassette Recordings Oral history contain a transcript and audiocassettes of an interview with Firman "Bo" Brown conducted by Paul Crepeau on October 30, 2003. Discussion topics include Brown's process in becoming involved in theater and making it his career, the Bigfork Summer Playhouse, attending Ithaca College and Cornell University, creating the Hangar Theatre, a summer theater housed at an old airport, Rollins College in Winterpark, Florida, winning accreditation for the theatre program at Ohio State University, and helping Ohio State University become a member of the University Resident Theatre Association (URTA).
