Simon Dinitz (1926-2007) was a professor of sociology at Ohio State University.

 Scope and Contents

The Simon Dinitz Oral History Transcript and Audiocassette Recordings contain a transcript and audiocassettes of an oral history interview with Simon Dinitz conducted by Adrienne Chafetz on November 8, 2005. Discussion topics include being one of the first Jewish faculty members at Ohio State University and Dinitz's teaching and research, including studying disadvantaged youth and the use of psychotropic drugs to treat schizophrenia.
