            <head>Biographical Note</head>
            <p>Elvin Frank Donaldson (1903-1972) was a professor of business organization at Ohio State University. In 1921, as a member of the Ohio State University Marching Band, he initiated the first formation (O-H-I-O). He served later as a student and assistant director of the band in charge of formations.</p>
