Richard Armitage (1918-2007) was a professor of romance languages, dean of the Graduate School, Vice President of Student Services, chairman of the Athletic Council, and university ombudsman at Ohio State University.
The Richard Armitage Oral History Transcript and Audiocassette Recordings contain a transcript and audiocassette tapes of an interview conducted by Richard Kipling Patterson on May 28, 2002 with Richard Armitage. Interview discussion topics include Armitage's education, early career at OSU, his teaching of Spanish in the community, faculty and alumni conflicts, and faculty governance.
