            <p>Albert J. Kuhn (1926-2012) was a professor of English at Ohio State University and the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost from 1971 to 1979.</p>

            <head>Scope and Contents</head>
            <p>The Albert J. Kuhn Papers contain personal and Ohio State University related correspondence of Albert Kuhn, artifacts, photographs, a 35mm slide, a publication, and an oral history interview transcript and audiocassette tape of Kuhn conducted by William Studer on December 12, 2001. Topics discussed in the interview include the rationalization of tenure and promotion policies, student demonstrations in 1970 after Kent State, the dissolution and reorganization of the College of Arts and Sciences, the medical practices plan, an assessment of the presidency of Harold Enarson, the growth of the honors program, and changing trends in higher education.</p>
