 Biographical Note

Donald Duane Glower (1926-) is the former Dean of the College of Engineering at the Ohio State University, and was Vice President for University Communications and Development.

 Scope and Contents

The Donald Glower Oral History Transcript and Audiocassette Recordings contain an oral history interview transcript and audiocassette tapes of Donald Glower conducted by Bernard Bayer on October 2, 2001. Major topics include the development of a superior program in mechanical engineering, the creation of several new centers in the college, the creation and role of the Foundation Board, critiques of three OSU Presidents (Fawcett, Enarson, Jennings), and the recovery of sunken treasure from the steamship "Central American."
