Biographical Note
Nathaniel Wright Lord (1854-1911) was a professor of metallurgy and mineralogy at Ohio State University. Caroline Augusta Lord (1860-1927), Nathaniel's sister, was a teacher at the Cincinnati Art Academy and a prominent Cincinnati portrait painter.

The Nathaniel Wright and Caroline Augusta Lord Papers contain correspondence, business, professional and legal papers, and other writings by Lord. It also includes creative works, such as poetry, short stories, and essays by Caroline A. Lord.
