 Biographical Note

Charles Alexander Csuri (1922-) was a professor at Ohio State University's College of the Arts. He founded Ohio State University's Advanced Computing Center for the Arts & Design (ACCAD).

 Scope and Contents

The Charles A. Csuri Papers include a catalog for an exhibit of Csuri's work, a matted computer artwork print, and various DVDs, audiocassettes, and DLT-DVD5 Master copies of the DVDs. Audiovisual materials contain a series of oral history interviews and related production material, and a DVD presentation based on the oral history interviews and produced by Ohio State University titled An American Dream. Subjects of oral history interviews include Charles Csuri's early life, his time as a football player at Ohio State University, the founding of the Computer Graphics Research Group (CCRG), and other aspects of Csuri's career and research in computer graphics.

This series contains oral history interview transcripts, including the transcript associated with the DVD production. There is also two copies of a set of five DVDs, and 1 set of five DLT-DVD5 masters. There is one DVD of a "Charles and Lee Csuri Preliminary Interview," three audio tapes of the videotaped interviews, two audio tapes titled "Csuri Deposition," an audiotape of an interview with Wayne Carlson, an audiotape of an interview with Lee Csuri and two copies of the DVD, "Charles Csuri: an American Dream" (2003).
