Benjamin Lester Bowen (1860-1920) was a professor in the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at Ohio State University for over 30 years.
The Benjamin Bowen Lectures on French Literature contain 46 pages of lecture notes on French literature and 21 pages of notes on the French novelist and playwright Honoré de Balzac.
