 Biographical Note

Thomas Celestine Holy (1887-1973) joined Ohio State University's faculty in 1927 as head of the Survey Division of the Bureau of Educational Research in the College of Education. He became the director of the Bureau of Educational Research in 1942 and served in that position until his retirement in 1951.

 Scope and Contents

The Thomas Celestine Holy Papers contain agendas, correspondence and minutes for the Commission for New Residential Schools for the Blind and Deaf (1944-1952), course materials in school planning, construction, equipment, finance, and administration (1938-1942), diary of a western trip (1920), publications and material on the Thomas C. Holy Fellowship (1970).
