Emil Bozler (1901-1995) was a professor of physiology at Ohio State University. He is internationally recognized for his research on smooth, cardiac and skeletal muscle physiology.
The Emil Bozler Papers contain correspondence, biographical sketches, publications, and photographs (in both physical and digital formats). The collection also contains biographical documents about Bozler, such as a curriculum vitae, biographical sketches, memorials, and letters of condolence upon his death.
This series contains contains letters and other material regarding the Bozler International Symposium on Smooth Muscle in Columbus, Ohio on May 19-20, 1989. It also contains documentation concerning the naming of Hamilton Hall wing in honor of Bozler.
This series contains biographical sketches and articles about Emil Bozler, including memorial publications and letters of condolence about his death. There also is documentation related to the Bozler Symposium and Bozler Research Day, and the renaming of the north wing of Hamliton Hall after Bozler. The collection also includes two volumes of reprints of his articles, as well as the mask from which the Bozler plaque was made for the new wing. (The plaque is located in the lobby of Hamilton Hall.)
