            <head>Biographical Note</head>
            <p>Wilbur Henry Siebert (1866-1961) was a professor of history at Ohio State University from 1891 to 1937. He research interests were in the Civil War, underground railroad and the loyalists of the American Revolution. Siebert also served in various administrative capacities at Ohio State University, including Secretary of the Faculty, Acting Dean of the College of Arts &amp; Sciences, and Acting Dean of the Graduate School.</p>

            <head>Scope and Contents</head>
            <p>The Wilbur H. Siebert Papers contain correspondence, articles, a notebook of typed lecture notes, and a nominating letter and set of medallions recognizing Professor Siebert as Honorary Corresponding Member of the Institut Historique et Héraldique de France. The collection dates span from 1895 to 1945.</p>
