 Historical Note

Norval Neil Luxon (1899-1989) taught at Ohio State University's School of Journalism from 1928 to 1943. In 1944 he became director of the Twilight School. He was appointed Assistant to President Howard L. Bevis in 1946, serving until 1953 when he left Ohio State University to become dean of the School of Journalism at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As Assistant to the President Luxon was in charge of the personnel budget.
