 Historical Note

Ohio State University celebrated its 75th anniversary in 1948 with a theme of "Growth Through Service." University President Howard Bevis appointed a committee to plan its celebration. A diamond jubilee celebration took place on October 14th and 15th, followed by a year-long celebration with programs and conferences in various departments.
