The Ohio State University Open Court was organized December 16, 1921, and changed its name to the Junior Open Court in 1935. Known as a club, the membership required engagement in major research at the University. The Ohio State University, Junior Open Court Records contain notebooks of minutes and attendance rosters, correspondence to members and potential guest lecturers, and membership lists. The materials are dated 1921-2011.

Historical Note
The Ohio State University Open Court was organized December 16, 1921, and was known as a club. The membership required engagement in major research at the University, and was aimed at younger members of the faculty. Open Court changed its name to Junior Open Court in 1935. The club would gather to hear guest lectures every month.
