Historical Note
The Conference Committee of the Teaching Staff was created by mail ballot of the teaching staff on March 17, 1938. It consisted of 15 members, three elected each year for a five year time. It's purpose was to solicit opinions, particularly from the teaching staff and faculty, on various issues to "originate ideas on necessary reforms." Records for this committee exist until 1977.

The Ohio State University, Conference Committee of the Teaching Staff Records contain correspondence, reports, minutes, surveys and other administrative documents. Subjects include teaching assistants and their assigned curriculum, a proposed credit union at Ohio State University, committee elections, and student fees and its impact on teaching salaries. The materials are dated 1938-1977.
