The Ohio State University Concert and Lecture Series Advisory Committee held its first meeting in or before 1957. Topics of discussion included ideas for cultural events on campus, prices, both for the performers and public admission, attendance levels at the events, and choice of venues. The committee was renamed the Advisory Committee on Cultural Programs in 1958.
The Ohio State University, Advisory Committee on Cultural Programs Minutes contains minutes of the Concert and Lecture Series Advisory Committee and the later renamed Advisory Committee on Cultural Programs, from July 1957 to May 1971.
