 Historical Note

The Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee Theatre Research Institute (TRI) is a research center in the network of the Ohio State University Library Special Collections. TRI was founded in the 1951 as the Theatre Research Institute, and renamed after playwrights Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee in 1986. TRI is an archive for plays, playwrights, and theatre organizations. The collection includes personal papers, theatre production pieces, photographs, posters, audiovisual recordings, and artwork, among other various objects.

 Scope and Contents

This collection contains a floor plan to the original Lawrence and Lee Theatre Research Institute location in Lincoln Tower, and the McDowell Film Archives on several hundred reels of microfilm.
