            <head>Biographical Note</head>
            <p>Brenda J. Drake is the wife of Ohio State University's fifteenth president, Michael V. Drake. She attended law school at the University of California, Berkeley, and practiced law for fifteen years before moving into the philanthropic field. At the Ohio State University, she served as First Lady during her husband's tenure as president from 2014 to 2020.</p>

            <head>Scope and Contents</head>
            <p>The Brenda J. Drake Artifacts, and Oral History Transcript and Audio Recording date from 2014-2022, and include a College of Pharmacy lab coat, and stationery and cards used by Drake while she worked at The Ohio State University in her capacity as First Lady to University's then-president, her husband Michael V. Drake. In 2024 an oral history interview that had been conducted in 2022 was added to the collection and consists of her recollections of the couple's time at Ohio State from 2014 to 2020.</p>
