 Historical Note

The Ohio Cooperative Extension Agents' Association (OCEAA) began in 1921. It gathered together Ohio Extension Agent professionals to promote professional improvement, provide networking opportunities, reinforce the values of the Ohio State University agriculture and home economics programs and the United States Department of Agriculture, and to "discourage exploitation for political purposes or otherwise the work of Extension Agents." The OCEAA became the Ohio Extension Agent's Association (OEAA) in 1995. It later merged with the Ohio Association of Extension Professionals (OAEP) in 2007. In 2012, OAEP merged with Ohio's Alpha Eta Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Phi (ESP) to create the Ohio Joint Council of Extension Professionals (OJCEP).

 Scope and Contents

The Ohio State University Extension, Ohio Extension Agents' Association Records contain annual reports, meeting minutes, award data sheets, committee assignments and reports, newsletters, bylaws, and other publications. Some records are stored on 3 1/2 inch floppy disks and compact discs.
