The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine was established as the School of Veterinary Medicine in 1885, as a three year course, expanding to four years by 1915. The first class graduated in 1887. In 1895 the School became known as the College Veterinary Medicine.
The Ohio State University, College of Veterinary Medicine, Director of Finance and Personnel Ledger contains summary budget reports for the College of Veterinary Medicine, including a letter from Ohio State University President William Oxley Thompson to Dean David White regarding salaries. The ledger contents date from 1912 to 1913.
