Photograph of Rudoph Peter Schneider, an Industrial Engineering professor, teaching students how to pour molds in OSU's foundry.

 Custodial History note

Barb Schneider donated the photo of her grandfather, who was responsible for making the Stadium ashtrays that were created as a fund-raising tool, to be sold at the Stadium dedication game in 1922. None were purchased, so Schneider gave them to students over the years as keepsakes. (The Archives has one of them.)

 General Note

The photo is located in the Industrial Engineering folder in the Photo Archives. There is not enough information to determine the actual date of the photograph, nor who took it, although Barb Schneider, Rudolph's granddaughter, believes it was taken when he was pouring molds for Stadium ashtray keepsakes he designed.
