 Historical Note

The Ohio State University Medical Center, Neurobiotechnology Center was established in 1986, and originally named the Biotechnology Center. It consisted of faculty from one of three programs: Molecular Neurobiology, Plant Molecular Biology, and Structural Biology. In 1994 the name was updated to the Neurobiotechnology Center, as it was determined that the name Biotechnology Center more accurately described the Molecular Neurobiology program, which then began using the name. The Neurobiotechnology Center was renamed in 2003 to the Center for Molecular Neurobiology. These name changes occurred to more accurately describe the research being done by the center.

 Scope and Contents

The Ohio State University Hospitals, Biotechnology Center Records contain blueprints, newsletters, floor plans, project files, and other administrative files dating from 1986 to 2003.
