            <head>Historical Note</head>
            <p>The position of Vice President for Administrative Operations was established by the Ohio State University Board of Trustees in 1969; Edward Q. Moulton was the first person to hold the position. This position reports directly to the University President, and acts as the chief operating administrator and chief of staff for the University President. The Vice President is in charge of running the day-to-day operations of the Ohio State University. As of 2019, this includes running the Office of Administration and Planning, which supervises six departments: the Department of Public Safety, Facilities Operations and Development, Planning Architecture and Real Estate, Transportation and Traffic Management, Uniprint, and WOSU Public Media.</p>
