            <abstract id="ref32" label="Abstract">Mildred and Irene Wilhelm were sisters and performers circa the late 1920s and early 1930s. Mildred was a musician and Irene was a dancer. Both sisters toured internationally with music and dance groups respectively. The Irene and Mildred Wilhelm Collection contains photo albums and scrapbooks documenting the Wilhelm sisters’ careers as performers from 1917-1980. The albums and scrapbooks contain photographs, newspaper and magazine clippings, playbills, advertisements, contracts, menus, and luggage labels. The collection also includes correspondence, a passport, and dance shoes, and photographs of presumed colleagues of one or both of the sisters.</abstract>
