Leslay worked on musicals and operettas at various theatres on Broadway. The Scrapbook on Charlotte Leslay contains a scrapbook with clippings of reviews of theatrical performances of Charlotte Leslay. In many of the clippings she is referred to as both Leslay and Leslie. In 1930, she went to court to prove she had a common law marriage to Abraham Lincoln Erlanger in order to receive part of his estate. Also in the scrapbook are programs and photographs, including one signed Charlotte Erlanger. The creator of the scrapbook is unknown. Materials are dated 1901-1914, 1943, 1951.
