Philip Cowell Jones was an American minister from New York who served as the pastor of the Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church, and was the brother of Robert Edmund Jones. He used his religious platform to advocate social justice issues like anti-discrimination, better relations between races, and other social issues of the 1900s.

Robert Edmond Jones (1887-1954) was an American set designer who worked in theatre and film, and is credited for the artistic shift in scenic design from realism to a more selective, simplified realism. Jones published several works on design philosophy for the stage.
