 Biographical Note

Robert Anderson (April 28, 1917 - February 9, 2009) was an American playwright and screen writer. He authored several Broadway plays, as well as screenplays and television scripts. He is especially known for his hit “Tea and Sympathy” which ran on Broadway and was adapted to film for MGM.

 Scope and Contents

The Robert Anderson Papers contains letters, a script, and interviews relating to Robert Anderson the 20th-century American playwright. A photograph of Jerome Lawrence, Kay Barkis, and Robert Anderson is also included. Materials range in date from 1966-circa 2004.
